Rwanda Prison Ministry
Here is a photo of Dave and me at one of the prisons in Rwanda where Joyce Meyer provided packages for each prisoner--filled with much needed and appreicated toiletry items and books about Jesus.
Interesting thing: prison uniforms are in HOT PINK. I guess you couldn't escape into the woods and expect to hide very well wearing hot pink!
After Joyce spoke to these prisoners (many who were in there because of genocide deeds), she invited them to receive Jesus and have freedom in their hearts. Hundreds raised their hands and prayed the ageless sinners' prayer.
That's what it's all about...

Hot pink??? That's interesting....and I though orange stood out!
The people in prison..."these prisoners (many who were in there because of genocide deeds)"...are you refering to the genocide 12 years ago? How long is a sentence for genocide?
stephanie...yes, that's the genocide i'm referring to. a sentence for genocide could be forever...life. depends on exactly what they are guilty of doing in the event. genocide is a systematic elimination of a people...these people were killing by any means possible--hacking with machettes being one choice--sometimes getting in such a hurry to kill the next person that they didn't finish off the first person...just mutilated them.
i don't think they will be getting out any time soon.
Wow....That's so sad!
I'm just very thankful that they are hearing and accepting the Good News! That is so awesome!
Thank you so much for everything you and Mr. Dave do! Yall are a huge blessing to SO many hurting! You're a excellent example of Christ's love!
Isn't Jesus wonderful. After all the horrible things we humans do Jesus continually offers us forgiveness and a new life in Him. Halleluia!
I'm reading a book about Burl Cain, the warden at Angola Prison, and how he's given hope to so many prisoners by allowing in people and organizations that bring Jesus along with them. He himself has a zeal for Jesus and as warden he truly acts as "his brother's keeper".
